Former Luton Town player
Dear Luton Borough Council,
I wish to give my support to Power Court - Application 16/01400 and Newlands Park - Application 16/01401.
Luton Town saw the best days of my playing career, and believe me, I loved playing at Kenilworth Road in front of those fantastic Hatters!
The Kenny holds a special place in my heart, scoring there is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
I think however, it is time for Luton Town to move.
The ground makes me feel hugely nostalgic just to look at, but at the same time, it is quite clear that it is very dated, and for a club with Luton Towns ambition, it is only right they find a new home.
Power Court looks amazing and I have no doubt with the will of the Town board it will happen, as well as Newlands Park, which in my eyes will do so much for the area.
You only have to look at Hull City building a new stadium and developing the surrounding area to see the impact it has had on the City.
The fact you have to go through peoples houses to get to the Oak Stand only emphasises how outdated the stadium is.
It is for these reasons I believe the council should approve the plans, not only for the football club, but for the future of Luton.
