Luton Town player
I am writing to you today to show my support for the development of Power Court. This is a development that I have a personal interest in as it is for the progression of Luton Town FC, whom I am employed by.
Being in this position I see first-hand how much the plans can help take the club into the future and have even more chance of success in the future than we currently have just now. With that success it will help put Luton as a town back at the top, which it has struggled with since the cut backs in industry over the last couple of decades. Being from a steel works background in Scotland, I understand the difficulties in overcoming such changes in our local economy.
This is why I feel this development will help everyone not only in Luton, but in the surrounding area, by bringing jobs and a real centre point that everyone can be proud of not only at the club, or in Luton as town, but in the region itself.
When I first came down to Luton last season I was told by a lot of people the negatives of the town, but after being here I feel it just needs a lift which we are hoping to bring through our performances on the field, but such a state of the art development is guaranteed to bring such a lift!
Finally, on a selfish note, I came here to hopefully be part of something special and help, whether small or large, bring Luton Town back to the top of English football. Hopefully I will be here to walk out at the new stadium, on the first game with a full house showing that we have brought this town together.
