Head Coach U18
Dear Luton Borough Council,
The plans proposed by 2020 Developments for Newlands Park and Power Court strike me as an absolute must for Luton.
Although I am not from the area, having coached in the Luton Town Academy since 2011, I know the town incredibly well and there is so much these projects will bring to the town before we even consider the football.
For example, even though it would be convenient for me to use the shops in Luton, seeing as I spend so much time here, I dont use them anything like as often as I should because they dont provide the quality that I get closer to home in Cambridge.
It is my opinion that Newlands Park would be huge for the local area, not only in terms of jobs, but also in boosting the local economy, as it would draw lots people into the area who are happy to part with their money.
From the clubs perspective, Power Court could be the springboard it needs to go through the divisions again. The club has a solid board in place and the people in charge will make sure it is seen through to the last lick of paint, and this iconic stadium will be a magnet for the best young talent in the area to want to join the Academy.
Future star footballers will want to play for Luton Town there is absolutely no doubt about that if these plans are given the go ahead.
For these reasons, I believe Luton Borough Council should approve Power Court 16/01400 and Newlands Park 16/01401.
