Luton Town player
Dear Luton Borough Council,
I joined Luton Town Football Club last year because I knew they were an ambitious club with plans in place to move to a new stadium. Gary Sweet sold me the vision, and the positivity around the place in recent months as news of Power Court was made public has been unbelievable.
Ive been injured for the last few months, but I cant wait to get back on the pitch and try to help the club win promotion because all I hear people talk about is the progression of the club and how the new ground will be great for the town. Im desperate to be a part of it.
Before joining Luton I was at Brighton & Hove Albion, and their new stadium at Falmer was really important in pushing them up the Football League as well as bringing new people and interest to the area. Ive moved back up this way this summer after a few years living away, and itll be good to have somewhere to go to eat, drink and shop, with the Newlands Park development as well. Not only for me but for my family too.
As one of the older players at the club, I know I might not get to experience the new stadium for too long, but it will be a major attraction to give the young players here inspiration to succeed. The designs are unreal amazing! Who wouldnt want to play there?
Make the right decision to help make Luton a great place to live, work and visit.
Mr Craig Mackail-Smith
