Former Luton Town striker, now playing in the Premier League for Burnley
I may not play for Luton Town anymore but I will always love the club that gave me my chance back in professional football after fell into the part-time game.
I helped them get back into the Football League and they helped me relaunch my career, so even though I'm now in the Premier League, I will always want what's best for them.
After living in and getting to know the town for two and a half years, I know what a difference the new ground at Power Court and the shops and leisure facilities both there and at Newlands Park will make to the town. You won't have to travel into London or Milton Keynes to go shopping or for a night out like I used to have to do.
I've seen the details, the drawings and the models and everyone I know is impressed by them. I'm lucky enough to have played at some of the top stadiums, and believe me Power Court will be one of them if it's given the chance.
It will be an amazing time to be a Luton fan if this gets the go ahead and the opportunity for the club and the town to grow is immense.
The club and area will be given a chance to grow again which will be impossible at Kenilworth Road even though I love the old ground as it holds so many happy memories for me from our Conference title winning season. As the club moves through the levels, I hope to be able to run out at Power Court and hear those fantastic fans again.
I hope these plans will be passed by the council so that a town and club I hold close to my heart can progress.
Mr Andre Gray
