Luton Town player
Dear Luton Borough Council,
I have spent most of my career with football teams in and around this part of the world, although I have had spells in the south with Plymouth and in the midlands with Birmingham City.
I have now settled into life at Luton Town and I love it, but Ive continued to live in Essex and travel in every day. People dont seem to move to Luton. Its weird. Its perfectly located, there is a direct train there, but people dont move here.
If Power Court is built, like a lot places where football stadiums have been, Im sure the area would flourish. It would bring a sense of local pride and as a result, people have more respect for the local area and the people. The teenagers and kids would have something to do on a Saturday, supporting Luton would become cool! Theyll have entertainment in the afternoon and evening, and itll be so easy to get to with the train station being nextdoor. There will be new homes too that might attract not only players, but fans and people moving out of London to invest in the area.
The Newlands Park development will create thousands of jobs along with the stadium, and if what I read about the prediction of £255m of new money being brought to the area because of the developments proves true, it can only be good news for Luton.
That is why I would like to fully support Power Court 16/01400 & Newlands Park 16/01401.
